HOW TO USE ENDNOTE FOR APA REFERENCING FULL
Note: This editing changes individual in-text citations, not the full citation in the bibliography.

Most of the time the standard in-text citation is enough to provide within your document to cite your reference, but there are specific occasions when a more detailed citation is required. (2019a, April 12), (2019b, March 23).There are two types of citations in a Word document, the bibliography at the end of the document with the full citation, and the in-text citation that appears at the point where the reference is directly cited, which is a notation (usually the bibliography number or the author name/year) to identify which full citation in the bibliography it is referring to. Always use 'a', 'b', etc after the year, if more than one work has been published by the same author in the same year, as this is used in the in-text referencing, e.g. Use the styles drop down menu to select a style from the quick list or Click on Select Another Style to see more styles. If you have a full date, only use the title to order the references if the date is identical. EndNote 20 - Choosing a Style EndNote has a small number of styles already loaded into the Style drop-down menu, but you can find more styles and add them to the quick list. If references by the same author have been published in the same year, list them alphabetically by title. Please note that the year only is required in-text, so you will need to follow the advice below whenever you have multiple citations in the same year. A year without a date is considered to be "older" than a year with a date ("nothing comes before something"), so 2018 will go before 2018, September - and a month without a day will go before a month with a day, so 2018, September will go before 2018, September 12. If there are two references by the same author, list them in order of publication date with the older one first.Ignore the words 'A', 'An' and 'The' at the beginning of a corporate author or title for deciding where it fits alphabetically. Check that the references are appearing properly in your work by comparing them with the official referencing guidelines for your style. If a reference has no author, list it alphabetically according to the title.
